POLICY REGARDING THE USE OF COOKIES

GHS-COM S.R.L.

Last updated: August 23, 2026
Effective date: August 23, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how GHS-COM S.R.L. (hereinafter – the "Company" or "GHS-COM"), as operator of the website https://pumamoldova.md/ (hereinafter – the "Website"), uses cookies and similar technologies when users access and use the online store.

This Policy applies to all users and visitors of the Website and should be read alongside the Personal Data Processing Policy and the Terms and Conditions of the online store.

The use of cookies and similar technologies is carried out in compliance with Law No. 195/2024 on the Protection of Personal Data, applicable as of August 23, 2026, as well as applicable electronic communications legislation and other relevant regulatory acts.

1. What are cookies and similar technologies

Cookies are small files that can be stored on your computer, phone, tablet, or other device used to access the Website. Similar technologies may include pixels, tags, online identifiers, local storage, and other technical mechanisms used for operation, analytics, measurement, and marketing.

Cookies are not software programs and cannot, by themselves, execute programs or deliver viruses.

2. Purposes of using cookies

Depending on the category and technology used, cookies and similar technologies may serve to:

  • technical operation and security of the Website;
  • functionality of the shopping cart and checkout process;
  • user authentication and session maintenance;
  • saving preferences, such as language or other settings;
  • analyzing Website usage and improving user experience;
  • measuring conversions and advertising campaign effectiveness;
  • remarketing, retargeting, and ad personalization, as permitted by law;
  • preventing fraud and protecting IT systems.

3. Cookie categories

Cookies used on the Website are grouped into the following categories:

  • 3.1. Strictly Necessary Cookies: Necessary for the technical operation of the Website or to provide a functionality explicitly requested by the user, such as the shopping cart, authentication, security, and technical order processing. These cookies are not used for behavioral advertising and may be used without consent only to the extent they meet the necessity criterion.

  • 3.2. Preference Cookies: Allow storing choices such as language or other settings. If not strictly necessary for the requested service, they are activated only after consent is given.

  • 3.3. Analytics/Statistical Cookies: Enable analysis of how the Website is used, including pages visited, visit duration, traffic sources, interactions, and technical performance. Optional analytical cookies are activated only after consent is given.

  • 3.4. Marketing/Advertising Cookies: Used to measure campaigns, attribute conversions, build audience segments, perform remarketing/retargeting, and show relevant ads where applicable. These cookies and pixels are activated only after user consent.

4. Technologies and providers used on the Website

As of the date of this Policy, GHS-COM uses or may use the following integrated services and technologies. Activation of optional features occurs only in accordance with user consent choices.

Service / Provider Category Primary Purpose Activation Mode
Google Analytics (Google) Analytics/Statistical Traffic measurement, site usage, and performance Upon consent
Google Ads (Google) Marketing/Advertising Conversion measurement, advertising, and remarketing Upon consent
Google Tag Manager (Google) Tag Management Managing and triggering integrated tags on the Website Optional tags depend on consent

Meta Pixel (Meta) Marketing/Advertising Conversion measurement, custom audiences, and remarketing Upon consent
TikTok Pixel (TikTok) Marketing/Advertising Conversion measurement, campaign optimization, and audiences Upon consent

Google Tag Manager is a tag management tool. It is not treated as an autonomous cookie category, but it loads Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, Microsoft Clarity, TikTok Pixel, or other tags. GHS-COM configures the mechanism so that tags requiring consent are not triggered before user selection.

5. Consent and cookie banner

Upon first accessing the Website, users are presented with a cookie preference management mechanism. It allows users, in a clear and comparable manner, to:

  • accept all optional cookies;
  • reject all optional cookies;
  • select specific cookie categories individually;
  • modify preferences later via the "Cookie Settings" function.

Optional cookies requiring consent will not be activated before consent is granted. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent the use of core online store features.

Consent must be freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous. Refusing or withdrawing consent must be as simple as granting it.

6. Consent logging and proof

GHS-COM may maintain a technical log of user selections to demonstrate compliance with legal obligations. This record may include timestamp, categories accepted or rejected, banner/policy version, and a technical identifier, to the extent necessary and proportionate.

Cookie consent is distinct from consent to receive commercial communications via email or SMS.

7. Withdrawing and modifying consent

Users can modify or withdraw consent for optional cookies at any time using the "Cookie Settings" feature on the Website.

Upon withdrawal, optional cookies and technologies for which consent was revoked will no longer be activated or collect future data. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

If certain cookies already stored on your device cannot be removed automatically by the Website, you can delete them through your browser settings.

8. Retention period

Cookies may be session-based, which are deleted when the browser closes, or persistent, remaining stored for a set period.

Specific durations for each cookie are listed in the cookie management panel. Durations may be updated by third-party providers, so the list is reviewed and updated periodically.

9. What information may be processed

Depending on the service and user selections, processed data may include:

  • cookie identifiers and other online identifiers;
  • IP address;
  • device type, browser, and operating system;
  • date and time of access;
  • pages and products viewed;
  • cart additions and purchase/conversion events;
  • traffic source and campaign parameters;
  • interactions with Website elements, clicks, and session details;
  • other technical data sent by the browser or generated by Website usage.

Where this information can be associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, it constitutes personal data and is processed in accordance with Law No. 195/2024.

10. Third-party providers and international transfers

By using Google, Microsoft Clarity, Meta, and TikTok services, certain data may be accessed or processed by those providers under their technical configurations, terms, and user choices.

If processing involves transferring data outside the Republic of Moldova, GHS-COM will utilize only mechanisms and safeguards permitted under Law No. 195/2024 and document relevant providers, countries/regions, and applicable safeguards.
